Hello he says. He’s joking and saying, ‘testing, testing’ to see if I can truly hear him. Merry Christmas he says with a huge smile. What a lovely thing to do for your old Grandad. That’s not a bad picture of me, shows a life well lived.

He says you’re tired. It’s nearly Christmas, time for a rest, no matter what else make sure you sit and rest. I’m remembered so fondly by so many, it’s so nice, thank you. So much of me lives in so many, I never realised just how big my family got so thank you.

I feel very tired in his energy and a little forgetful. Of course all that has gone now but towards the end that’s how he felt. He’s talking about being a great grandad now as if that’s happened since he passed. He’s always got your back and walks with you every day and he’s so proud of the woman you’ve become but you’ll always be little in his heart.

He has so many friends here, he knows it’s where he belongs now. Now is your time to carry on traditions and live life to the full.
